Diving Experience

  • My initial training took place in Germany through PADI and CMAS. The first two years were spent diving in cold water / dry suit in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
  • Post technical and cave training, the vast majority of my diving has involved harsh environments including ice and altitude, some form of overhead, and usually a combination of several, and advanced equipment, or simply different setups.
  • For 3 years I dived CCR exclusively. With the exception of learning Sidemount in 2001, all my open circuit setups were DIR / Hogarthian, depending on your definition.
  • These days, when not teaching, I most enjoy scootering deep or long caves and in the absence of caves, the Great Lakes and River wrecks. For relaxation I also do not mind a wall or reef with lots of fish.
