My initial training took place in Germany through PADI and CMAS. The first two years were spent diving in cold water / dry suit in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
Post technical and cave training, the vast majority of my diving has involved harsh environments including ice and altitude, some form of overhead, and usually a combination of several, and advanced equipment, or simply different setups.
For 3 years I dived CCR exclusively. With the exception of learning Sidemount in 2001, all my open circuit setups were DIR / Hogarthian, depending on your definition.
These days, when not teaching, I most enjoy scootering deep or long caves and in the absence of caves, the Great Lakes and River wrecks. For relaxation I also do not mind a wall or reef with lots of fish.
